Zenabis announces long-term manufacturing agreement with Capcium Inc.

Strategic Partnership to Produce High-Quality Cannabis Softgels

ATHOLVILLE , New Brunswick , July 16, 2018 – Zenabis Ltd. (“Zenabis” or “the Company” and Capcium Inc. (“Capcium”) announced today that the companies have signed a long-term strategic manufacturing agreement to produce high quality cannabis-based softgel capsules.

“Signing a manufacturing agreement with Capcium ensures that our patients will have access to a reliable and high-quality supply of cannabis-based softgels,” said John Kondrosky , COO of Zenabis. “We are excited to move forward with this partnership, as it directly supports Zenabis’ overall growth strategy and positions us a leading competitor in this growing category of easier to use cannabis products.”

Capcium, a privately-owned Montreal-based global leader in the encapsulation of oils, has emerged as one of the leading value-added manufacturers of cannabis softgels. Production of high precision dose softgels is a difficult process, but through its extensive pharmaceutical and encapsulation experience , Capcium has developed expertise that can be applied to the cannabis industry. Capcium now has the resources to produce very high-quality production at low costs.

Sylvain Duvernay, CEO of Capcium, added, “Zenabis is one of the largest Canadian Licensed Producer’s and will be a key supplier of cannabis products to the Canadian market. Teaming up with this impressive, professional and driven LP , will allow Capcium to continue to supply high quality products to Zenabis’ extensive customer base.”

Upon the completion of Capcium’s new state-of-the-art cGMP facility, scheduled for Q4 2019 (the “cGMP facility”), Zenabis will transfer all its softgel manufacturing volume to the new Capcium facility under a long-term manufacturing agreement. Capcium will be the exclusive manufacturer of Zenabis’ global cannabis softgel products during the initial term of the manufacturing agreement.
